One of our new students, Sandra Giwargis of Fairfield, is the lucky winner of an iPad Mini after entering the business card draw at our York St Campus Open Day.
We surprised Sandra this week by presenting her with the prize at orientation for her new Diploma of Child, Youth & Family Intervention course.
“I never thought I’d win because it’s just one of those things you do…you enter but you never expect to win,” she said.
Sandra has experience working with children in special education and for the last 4 years has been working as a teacher’s aide at her local high school. She said she was more than happy to travel to the city to do the course because of the extra student support available.
“I’ve tried online learning but it lacked the one-on-one support that BCA National provides,” she said. “I’m very interested in working in juvenile justice so the Diploma of Child, Youth & Family Intervention appealed to me.”
All BCA National students benefit from a professional learning support team, which includes a Trainer & Assessor, Training Coordinator and Training Officer.
Classes are often scheduled fortnightly or in 2-day training blocks per month, to offer students flexibility like an online course but with the personal support of being in a small class.
