The Australian Council for Private Education & Training (ACPET) today announced the finalists for the inaugural ACPET Awards for Excellence, with BCA National up for the VET Provider of the Yearcategory.
BCA National's award submission was based on our Indigneous Remote Service Delivery Traineeship (IRSDT) Program, which enters its third year in September.
The program is a partnership with the Commonwealth Department of Health & Ageing to deliver accredited training to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander students from remote health and aged care services across Australia in business qualifications from Certificate I to Advanced Diploma (view the video below for more information).
In a media statement, ACPET CEO Claire Field commended the finalists for representing the highest calibre independent education and training providers across the higher tertiary sector.
"The awards, which have been judged by panels of independent eminent individuals from across the country, celebrate the achievements and leadership of organisations, practitioners, programs and students for the work that is undertaken across the independent tertiary education industry," Ms Field said.
The ACPET Awards for Excellence are a significant step in raising the profile of independent higher education and vocational education and training in Australia as well as representing the extraordinary diversity of the sector, and the role ACPET members play in educating and skilling Australians.
